As District Attorney, I intend to expand and standardize diversion opportunities, including developing a formal pre-charge diversion program, so that first-time, low-level offenders do not become unnecessarily caught up in the system. There are so many reasons that people commit crimes, but we cannot solve the problem of criminal activity through prosecution alone.
